Beach Shoot!
Jake, my boyfriend and myself took a trip down to Camber Sands for the evening in the summer to take photos in the golden hour! ROAD TRIP! It was the most perfect and beautiful evening, spent with the most handsome gentleman I could imagine. It was warm, we were at the beach and it was summer. What more could you ask for?!
We arrived at 15:30 which worked out well because the golden hour started at 16:15! As soon as the period came we were up taking photos because the colours of the sun at the beach were amazing.
I smiled so much that evening, it was hard to keep a straight face but my heart was pounding so fast when he looked at me through the camera, I couldn't help it!
He told me that I look beautiful without makeup, which shocked me because I was so insecure about how I looked around him, but always adored what he said and it gave me confidence to go out without makeup! So this was my first shoot without make up!
I really enjoyed not wearing makeup, I felt like myself and real. I know that sounds strange but I didn't feel fake or forced. Its different in a studio because you play a character for the photos because its structured like that, where as natural shoots are so free- so much happens in a few photos, you have the wind, the scene, time of day and emotions thats change every photo! You cant get two the same!
We were in the sand dunes running and climbing up little mounts to take the best photo with the sunshine, taking turns taking photos of each other! We were having so much fun leaping about in the sun!
Jake had these round hippy glasses on when I met him in Malia and he bought them to the beach so we had a shoot with them!
As the sun finally started to set we walked along the shore and took silhouette photos, Which was so fun, I could do anything! This shoot was so different to my past shoots. No pressure at all!
Looking at Jake through the camera just made my heart melt because he looked amazing in the light. Makes me realise how lucky I am!
After the shoot we got take away pizza and ate it before the long road trip home!
